About

Built with intention.

Backplate Studio was created to support a part of high-end audio that’s often overlooked: how devices are handled, protected, and lived with over time.

Rather than offering generic accessories, the studio focuses on device-specific surface solutions designed to respect the original industrial design. Each piece is developed deliberately, produced in small runs, and released only when it meets our standards for fit, feel, and long-term use.

This is not fast production or broad compatibility. It’s careful work, done for equipment worth keeping.

Small runs

Surfaces are produced in limited batches based on demand. Availability reflects what’s currently in production, not mass inventory or constant turnover.

Z

Designed per device

Each surface is designed for a specific model. We don’t trim generic shapes to fit later, and we don’t release a surface unless it aligns cleanly with the device it’s made for.

Z

Carefully chosen

Materials are selected based on thickness, feel, wear, and long-term behavior — not trends or visual impact alone. If a material doesn’t age well in daily handling, it isn’t used.

Z

No modifications

Surfaces are designed for straightforward installation without altering the device itself. Nothing here should interfere with how the equipment was intended to be used.

Only the best.

Backplate Studio exists because there are very few options for protecting or personalizing high-end audio equipment without compromising how it feels or functions.

The devices we support are already well designed. Our role isn’t to redesign them — it’s to respect the original form while improving grip, wear resistance, and day-to-day handling. That means being selective.

What remains are materials that feel intentional on the device — subtle, durable, and appropriate for equipment meant to be used for years.

Hand Crafted.
